SUMMIT WINTER CAMP
December 14th – 21st 2019
and March 28th – April 4th 2020
A week specially for Bible-School students from various English speaking European Torchbearer Centres, to either finish off their stay in Europe in a unique way or spend a fun week during their mid term break!
(This camp will be in English only)
What to expect
Standing on a SUMMIT allows you to look back on the trails and obstacles you’ve hiked and climbed to reach that mountain top, but it also opens up new perspectives and lets you see beyond! In a similar way, with this week we want to give you a chance to look back, reflect and nail down things God has been teaching you during bible school. We also want this time to help you „SUMMIT“ up and let all the learned lessons impact your life back home! Don’t worry, you’re not coming back to school here, we will only plan on shorter interactive devotional times with lots of room for sharing and discussion.
This camp is going to be a fun relaxing time with lots of opportunities for outdoor activities in the beautiful Engadin valley, including down-hill and cross-country skiing, ski touring (mainly in the March camp), sledding, snow-shoeing or going sight seeing in the charming historical villages in the area! You may not be able to physically stand on an actual summit during one of these winter camps, but you will certainly look at many peaks as we are all surrounded by them!
Besides all the activities, you also get another opportunity to enjoy great fellowship in an international setting along with students from other Torchbearers Bible School centres, and you will be able to exchange your experiences and encourage each other!
We will always have breakfast and dinner together as a group, as well as the devotional/worship times. Other than that, you will be free all day to do whatever you like and we will provide lunch bags for everybody! Mostly we’ll be splitting up in 3-4 small groups to go on different ventures, all according to your interest. Here is the link to the nearby Ski resort in Scuol, only 20min away from our place.
During the December camps all the mentioned activities should be possible. At the end of March however, it is possible that some activities may be limited right around Lavin, depending on the snow that’s left down in the valley. Skiing will still be well possible in Scuol, as the resort is open until end of April. There is always the option of visiting the upper Engadin valley as well with the world famous area around St.Moritz! There the snow holds up much longer and it takes about 45min to get there. Prices are listed further down.
