A refreshing challenge for body, soul and spirit!
What to expect
During these days, we will dive into (literally) the basics of whitewater kayaking. Together with a maximum of 7 other participants, you will learn the basics of paddling techniques and boat handling, as well as how to read flowing water.
These paddling days are suitable for both beginners and slightly advanced paddlers, and the program is designed to ensure that everyone gets their money’s worth. The course is led by experienced canoe instructor Lukas Barth from Outdoor Engadin and supported by kayak guide Olly Wroe and myself, Lukas Brunner.
We will make our first attempts at paddling on calm water and then continue in small steps on the river. For the slightly more advanced, there will also be an opportunity to practice or further refine the Eskimo roll. Depending on the number of advanced paddlers, we will sometimes split into two groups on the river.
Just as it is important to know in kayaking that you are always going where your eyes are focsued on, it is also crucial in life in general to know where we place our focus. During daily short devotions and sharing times with Olly Wroe (from Tauernhof, Austria), we want to refocus our eyes on Jesus, and allow Him to encourage and challenge us.
Are you ready to get out of your comfort zone for a bit and take on this adventure?
We look forward to seeing you!
Important: This camp will be in German and English. Olly, our guest speaker, only speaks English, but we will translate his input if necessary.
