The village
Lavin is a small, charming mountain village in the middle of the historical Lower Engadin Valley. Within 1-3 minutes walking distance from the accommodation you will find the train station with bistro, the village general store with post office, two hotels with restaurants, the bakery Giacometti, a small sports field / ice rink, a unique children’s playground and various small businesses including our bike shop and our guitar workshop.
The region
During summer the beautiful Lower Engadine Valley is a hiking and mountain biking paradise for all levels. The Swiss National Park is also close to Lavin with the beautiful Macun Lakes Plateau. The Inn, which flows through our village, is ideal for fishing and attracts many whitewater kayakers!
Culture
Also culturally the Engadin Valley has a lot to offer. Many historic villages (like Lavin) with houses from the 15th to the 17th century are right there to discover! Attractions such as the almost 1000 year old castle of Tarasp, the castle ruin of Susch or the small ruins settlement Gonda outside of Lavin are also worthwhile visiting.
During the main seasons in summer and winter, cultural events are offered in different venues
