A refreshing week full of adventure for body, soul and spirit!
What to expect
This week is for anyone who loves the great outdoors, has an open mind and heart and wanting to grow deeper in their personal relationship with Jesus. All of us are going through different seasons in our lives; sometimes it feels like we’ve just reached the top of a mountain, and at other times we may be deep down in the valley losing our focus and purpose. We want this week to be an encouraging and challenging timeout to gain new perspectives for our daily lives!
Exciting outdoor activities like hiking in a spectacular scenery, climbing, via ferata, funyaking, high ropes course, lake-kayaking and sightseeing historical villages will fill our days! You don’t need to be overly fit, however, it will be helpful if you can manage a 4-6 hour hike. Since not everybody is into the more adventurous activities, most of them will be optional and we will split up up in two groups on some days according to the different interests. Usually doing another nice hike will be the alternative.
This year Jonathan Miller from the Torchbearer center Holsby in Sweden will be our guest speaker for the spiritual input. After breakfast we will usually start our days off with a devotional and Jonathan will have another input either outdoors during the day or in the evenings. Together we will reflect on “The Sermon on the Mount” during this week and will draw some life lessons from it and learn more about God’s character.
Relaxing, enjoying fellowship, singing, playing games and reflecting on some epic experiences will also fill our evenings.
This camp will be mainly in english. However, it’s usually a good mix of german and english speaking participants and if your english is not the best, please don’t hesitate to join anyways. It will be a good opportunity to practice 😉
